Who is Šarlota and Cakes
Šarlota and Cakes is a brand built on a love for pastry, precision, and the courage to follow your own path. I am a pastry chef who approaches this craft professionally, but also with heart. Pastry has never been just a job for me. It has always been a way to express myself, create, and push the boundaries of what a dessert can be.
I gained my experience working in pastry shops and hotels, where I learned the craft, discipline, and techniques. Over time, however, I started to feel that this approach to pastry didn’t fully align with my vision. I was missing space for creativity, a personal signature, and the freedom to do things my own way. I didn’t want to simply produce desserts based on strict procedures, but to create with meaning, intention, and joy.
Leaving the traditional environment wasn’t easy, but it was the right decision. I wanted to build my own path, where I could approach pastry as I truly see it – precise, aesthetic, technically refined, but also human and accessible. Pastry that makes sense not only to me, but also to people who follow it, learn from it, and find inspiration in it.
A major turning point on this journey was collaborating with brands that share the same commitment to quality and professionalism. When CakeStar and later Dortisimo reached out to me, it significantly helped me move forward. These partnerships allowed me to focus more on what I truly enjoy – creating, educating, and sharing my know-how.
This is how the brand Šarlota and Cakes gradually came to life as you know it today. A place where I share my recipes, techniques, experience, and behind-the-scenes insights into pastry work. I create content that is practical, understandable, and professional at the same time. I show that even complex desserts can be explained in a way that people truly understand and can recreate at home or in their own practice.
Today, I primarily create content on my website and the Hero Hero platform, where I am building a community of people who love pastry as much as I do. A community based not on perfection, but on the desire to learn, improve, and respect the craft. I share detailed recipes, video tutorials, practical tips, and know-how that I had to learn the hard way myself.
